The Watergate Hotel has 336 guest rooms with options for one- and two-bedroom suites. Suites feature options including two- and three-bedrooms, a living room, and a five-piece marble bathroom. Suites such as the Ambassador Suite feature a kitchenette, a dining table for six, and pink seating areas. Some rooms include a balcony. The hotel has connecting rooms for families. Each room features flat-screen TVs and La Bottega bath products. There are rooms designed in collaboration with Lyn Paolo, costume designer for Scandal, containing items from the Watergate Scandal period. Dog beds and food bowls are available, along with chef-prepared dog meals such as air-chilled chicken with brown rice and apple, or grass-fed lamb with pork and brown rice.

Dining experiences

Kingbird, the hotel's flagship restaurant, has views of the Potomac River. It serves modern dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Kingbird offers a brunch menu and afternoon tea on weekends. The Next Whiskey Bar features a selection of whiskies and bourbons, plus seasonal cocktails and light bites. Top of the Gate is the hotel's rooftop lounge, with 360-degree views of the Kennedy Center, the Potomac River, the Key and Arlington bridges, and the Washington Monument. Guests can book Washington DC's original igloos back on The Next Whisky Bar's Terrace.
